All my workshops are conducted in keeping with UK government COVID-19 safe distancing regulations and protections.

Are you interested in learning the wonderful art of photography?

I have been running my workshops for over 5 years now catering for all levels from beginners through advanced photographers.

Weather it is understanding of your camera and lens through successful composition and final execution of the shoot and post-production in Lightroom, Photoshop and Filter Efex Pro – you will learn it all from me at your pace and in a very friendly atmosphere.

From regular photography though to long exposure, ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) or infrared photography I’d be happy to show you how I am planning my shots and achieving desired results.

The workshop will be tailored specifically to your needs and interests to make sure you get the most out of the session. The four hour session runs from 10am – 3pm, while the full day (8 hours) session is more flexible.

I also offer ZOOM 1-2-1 tuition if you prefer remote meetings.

What you need:

Most importantly: willingness to learn new, at time challenging things. A tripod and natural density filters would not come amiss but if you do not have any I am happy to let you use my spare ones.

Fitness level:

The fitness level required will depend on the location where the workshop takes place, but the exact locations can be chosen according to your level of fitness.

Testimonial:

I recently had a full day 1 -1 workshop with Derek in London. He gave me lots of options in regards to locations and we settled on the Shard then moving onto Docklands. Derek went through the steps you need to take in the "technical" side but also encouraged taking time to really look at a scene. I feel a lot more confident now with long exposure photography thanks to Derek explaining it so well. Derek also suggested I send him a RAW file to look at which is a nice touch. Thank you for a great day.
