Long exposure photography workshops

LEMAG Long Exposure Photography Workshops are designed to suit all levels of photographic development and always tailored to answer to the needs and requirements of participants. Since we hold them in groups of not more than 5 participants per workshop, we make sure that everyone who take part has full tutor’s attention. From basic composition though to the most advanced post -processing techniques, our trusted tutors will show you how to approach your subject, how to decide on best aperture, exposure time, filters used and much more.

Locations

We understand you may have your favourite locations where you want to learn long exposure. We have a number of spots where we regularily meet our clients if they want to have a workshop organised in London and across the Home Countries: Dover, Folkestone, Maidstone, Ramsgate, Shoeburyness, Eastbourne, Brighton, Seven Sisters, Hastings, to name just a few. We are also preparing a few workshops outside of the UK – those will be announced as soon as current travel restrictions are lifted.

Fees

one-day workshops

1-2-1 half-day workshop: £150
1-2-1 full-day workshop: £250

Group half-day workshop: £80 pp
Group full-day workshop: £150 pp

two-day workshops

1-2-1 two-day workshop: £200
Group two-day workshop: £120 pp

Two-day workshops consist of one day of shooting and the other day of post-processing session done over zoom. The first day of workshop take 8 hours of shooting and coaching, while the second day takes 4 hours of post-processing tutorial.

Please note: full payment is required to secure the place at any of the workshops.

Composition and framing for the optimal subject rendition
Establishing best aperture
Reading light to create a well-balanced RAW image
Manual focusing in low light
Shooting in manual mode
Choosing and using various ND grad filters
Choosing and using various ND filters
Basic post-processing of the image

The workshops is done to your own tempo of learning to make sure you are able to remember it all and reproduce the results on your own.
All questions you may have will be answered.

Remote shutter speed control
ND grad filters
ND filters

It is an absolute triumph. The design and format is most elegant and highly professional. I especially like the thumbnail option for easy navigation. As for content, well a fine choice of artists whose work I know very well. On first scan I thought maybe there could be more artists included, but no, the images were so rich in variety and the interviews most interesting that I feel you have the balance just right (after all you have to think of subsequent editions). All in all I must say a masterful job.

For those interested in long exposure photography, the first edition of this new publication should prove very interesting. Some of the the featured artists, are among my favourite photographers. I found both the images and interviews very engaging. Some of the proposed developments for the magazine should add further interest in the months to come, I look forward with interest to future editions.

I really enjoyed the first issue of LEMAG. It was great to see again the work of people you have admired over the years. The "Know your Master" concept is well worth expanding on. There are so many master photographers over the ages who are no longer in vogue but can still inspire.

It's brilliant and worth every penny (and more) of the subscription fee. Great images, fab interviews and a quality production ethic.
